James Martin Smith (Dallas, Texas, April 18, 1950) is a Texas-based artist, designer, and musician.
He has been involved with the Texas music and art scene since the Texas International Pop Festival of 1969. Smith provided grounds artwork for the Texas Festival plus several other national festivals including the 1970 Second Annual Atlanta Pop Festival.
He is the co-founder of Dallas Backup, Inc. 1977, of a Dallas, Texas based musical instrument rental and sound & lighting company now known as Onstage Systems, and the founder of CreativeSourcing.net in 2001, a Dallas based graphic design company. He is currently Director of Product Development for Jokari/US, Inc. a Dallas, Texas based firm providing home products.
